A Bill to amend Section 24-13-610, Code of Laws of South Carolina, 1976, relating to the extended work release program, so as to provide that no person convicted of a violent crime as defined in Section 16-1-60 may participate in this program; and to repeal Section 24-13-650 which prohibits a person convicted of a violent crime from being released back into the community in which he committed the offense under the work release program.
