A BILL TO AMEND SECTION 12-37-220, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO THE ASSESSMENT OF PROPERTY TAXES, SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT SURVIVING SPOUSES OF LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS, AS DEFINED IN SECTION 23-6-400(D)(1), KILLED IN THE LINE OF DUTY SHALL RECEIVE THE SAME PROPERTY TAX EXEMPTION AS SURVIVING SPOUSES OF SERVICEMEN KILLED IN THE LINE OF DUTY.
