A Bill to amend Section 38-9-830, Code of Laws of South Carolina, 1976, relating to the cancellation of an insurance policy prior to the expiration of the term stated in the policy, so as to provide that when a policy is cancelled a refund of all premiums collected in excess of one-half of the premium earned during the time the policy was in force must be returned to the insured and provide that this Section does not relieve the insurance carrier of the obligation of paying all valid claims or losses during the period the policy was in force.
