    A Bill to provide for the termination of the South Carolina Public Service Authority as a body corporate and politic in this State, the ending of the terms of all members of the Authority's governing board of directors, and the termination of the advisory board to the Authority; to provide for the sale of the property and assets of the Authority, provide for the disbursement of the proceeds from the sale, and provide for related matters concerning the dismantling of the Authority; to amend Section 5-7-60, Code of Laws of South Carolina, 1976, relating to authorizing municipalities to perform functions and furnish services and relating further to charges and financing; Section 8-17-370, relating to exemptions from the State Employee Grievance Procedure; Section 10-9-10, relating to lease of gas, oil, and certain other minerals; Section 10-9-40, relating to the cumulative effect of the Authority conferred by Article 1 of Chapter 9 of Title 10; and Section 49-7-80, relating to the Bushy Park Authority and the prohibition on the sale of electricity or electric power, so as to delete all references to the Public Service Authority; and to repeal Item (21) of Subsection B of Section 12-37-220, relating to exemptions from ad valorem taxation and the property leased to and operated by the Public Service Authority for the generation or transmission of electric power; Section 49-7-90, relating to the Bushy Park Authority and the provision that nothing in Chapter 7 of Title 49 may affect the operation of the Santee Cooper Project by the Public Service Authority; Section 51-13-250, relating to the provision that nothing in Article 3 of Chapter 13 of Title 51 may affect the operation of the Santee-Cooper Project by the Public Service Authority or the powers vested in the Authority; and Chapter 31 of Title 58, relating to the Public Service Authority.
