Summary: Motor vehicle accidents that must be reported to U.S. Transportation; retraining course requirements
    A BILL TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 56-5-3890 SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT A DRIVER OF CERTAIN VEHICLES WHO CONTRIBUTES TO AN ACCIDENT WHICH MUST BE REPORTED TO THE UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION SUCCESSFULLY SHALL COMPLETE A COMMERCIAL MOTOR VEHICLE DRIVER RETRAINING COURSE APPROVED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY WITHIN NINETY DAYS OF THE ACCIDENT, AND TO PROVIDE A PENALTY FOR FAILURE TO COMPLETE THE COURSE.
