Summary: Financial Institutions State Board
    A BILL TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTIONS 34-39-310 AND 34-41-140 SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT THE STATE BOARD OF FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS MAY PARTICIPATE IN A NATIONWIDE MULTISTATE LICENSING SYSTEM; TO AMEND SECTION 34-39-120, RELATING TO DEFINITIONS, SO AS TO PROVIDE A DEFINITION FOR "NATIONWIDE MULTISTATE LICENSING SYSTEM" AND "UNIQUE IDENTIFIER"; TO AMEND SECTION 34-39-150, RELATING TO LICENSURE APPLICATIONS, SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT AN APPLICATION MUST BE ACCOMPANIED WITH CERTAIN ACTUAL COSTS OF OBTAINING CREDIT REPORTS AND CRIMINAL HISTORY RECORD CHECKS; TO AMEND SECTION 34-39-260, RELATING TO THE PROMULGATION OF REGULATIONS, SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT THE BOARD MAY WAIVE OR MODIFY CERTAIN REQUIREMENTS; TO AMEND SECTION 34-41-10, RELATING TO DEFINITIONS, SO AS TO PROVIDE A DEFINITION FOR "NATIONWIDE MULTISTATE LICENSING SYSTEM" AND "UNIQUE IDENTIFIER"; TO AMEND SECTION 34-41-40, RELATING TO LICENSURE APPLICATIONS, SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT AN APPLICATION MUST BE ACCOMPANIED WITH CERTAIN ACTUAL COSTS OF OBTAINING CREDIT REPORTS AND CRIMINAL HISTORY RECORD CHECKS; AND TO AMEND SECTION 34-41-130, RELATING TO THE PROMULGATION OF REGULATIONS, SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT THE BOARD MAY WAIVE OR MODIFY CERTAIN REQUIREMENTS.
