A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

TO RECOGNIZE MR. HERMAN MOORE UPON HIS RETIREMENT AS DIRECTOR OF REGIONAL GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS FOR GEORGIA-PACIFIC CORPORATION AND TO PreviousWISHNext HIM WELL IN HIS FUTURE ENDEAVORS.

Whereas, Mr. Herman Moore is retiring May 31, 1993, as director of regional government affairs for Georgia-Pacific Corporation; and

Whereas, a thirty-seven year veteran of the forest products industry, Mr. Moore came to Georgia-Pacific from International Paper; and

Whereas, he joined Georgia-Pacific in January, 1978, as regional manager of state government affairs; and

Whereas, a former newspaper editor in Mississippi, Mr. Moore also served as regional manager of public affairs from 1982-83 before returning to regional manager for government affairs; and

Whereas, instrumental in the success of Georgia-Pacific's government affairs program, Mr. Moore will continue to serve Georgia-Pacific, upon retirement, as a consultant through 1993 to facilitate the establishment of Georgia-Pacific's state councils, a program to link facility managers in fifteen key states and to enhance Georgia-Pacific's government affairs grassroots network; and

Whereas, the members of the General Assembly are proud to have this opportunity to note the achievements and contributions of Mr. Moore. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate, the House of Representatives concurring:

That the members of the General Assembly recognize Mr. Herman Moore upon his retirement as director of regional government affairs for Georgia-Pacific Corporation and Previouswish him well in his future endeavors.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mr. Moore.
