A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

CONGRATULATING MRS. JOYCE PreviousANNNext LAW OF RICHLAND COUNTY ON BEING RECOGNIZED AS THE 1995-96 TEACHER OF THE YEAR AT A. J. LEWIS GREENVIEW ELEMENTARY SCHOOL AND TO EXTEND BEST WISHES FOR CONTINUED SUCCESS IN ALL OF HER FUTURE ENDEAVORS.

Whereas, Joyce PreviousAnnNext Law of Richland County has been named Teacher of the Year for 1995-96 at A. J. Lewis Greenview Elementary School; and

Whereas, she is married to Dennis Law and has three children: Jada, Sonya, and Dennis, Jr.; and

Whereas, Mrs. Law symbolizes the epitome of a caring, concerned, and talented public educator; and

Whereas, she earned a Bachelor's degree from Florida A & M University in Tallahassee, Florida, and a Master's degree from the University of South Carolina; and

Whereas, her dedication and commitment to teaching the children of today and leaders of tomorrow has been demonstrated by her ten years of teaching in the public school system; and

Whereas, Mrs. Law currently teaches Language Arts and Math at A.J. Lewis Greenview Elementary; and

Whereas, she has participated in many training programs; and

Whereas, the title Teacher of the Year is not new to Mrs. Law as she was awarded this honor previously in 1991; and

Whereas, Mrs. Law has been a member of many professional organizations including the South Carolina Education Association, the Palmetto Education Association, and the Midlands Reading Council; and

Whereas, she is devoted to educating tomorrow's citizens by helping children to strive to become the best they can be as evidenced by her service and commitment to South Carolina's public school system. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the members of the General Assembly, by this resolution, congratulate and commend Mrs. Joyce PreviousAnnNext Law on being recognized as the 1995-96 Teacher of the Year at A. J. Lewis Greenview Elementary School and to extend best wishes for continued success in all her future endeavors.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mrs. Joyce PreviousAnn Law.
