EXTENDING CONGRATULATIONS TO MR. AND MRS. ROBERT D. ROSS, JR., OF SUMTER COUNTY ON THE JOYOUS OCCASION OF THEIR GOLDEN WEDDING PreviousANNIVERSARYNext, AND EXPRESSING BEST WISHES TO THE ROSSES FOR MANY MORE YEARS OF HAPPINESS TOGETHER.

Whereas, Robert D. (Jack) Ross, Jr., and Betty A. Ross of Sumter County were married on June 23, 1949; and

Whereas, Mr. and Mrs. Ross will celebrate their golden wedding PreviousanniversaryNext on June 23, 1999; and

Whereas, the Rosses have four children, Betty PreviousAnnNext Branham, Marilyn Odom, Mary Kate Stokes, and Robert D. (Badboy) Ross III; and

Whereas, the Rosses also have eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; and

Whereas, Jack and Betty Ross are a loving and a much-loved couple; they are respected and admired throughout the community and have reached a milestone in their marriage; the commemoration of the half-century mark in a marriage is an occasion of joy and celebration, and we are pleased to have the opportunity to recognize and honor them in this special manner. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the South Carolina House of Representatives, by this resolution, extends congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Robert D. Ross, Jr., of Sumter County on the joyous occasion of their golden wedding Previousanniversary and expresses heartfelt best wishes to the Rosses for many more years of happiness together.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Jack and Betty Ross.
