CELEBRATION OF THEIR FIFTIETH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY, AND TO EXTEND TO THEM GOOD
WISHES FOR CONTINUED SUCCESS AND HAPPINESS IN THE YEARS TO COME.

A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
TO EXTEND WARMEST REGARDS AND HEARTFELT CONGRATULATIONS TO MR. AND MRS. WILLIAM L. FELTY ON THE OCCASION OF THE CELEBRATION OF THEIR FIFTIETH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY, AND TO EXTEND TO THEM GOOD WISHES FOR CONTINUED SUCCESS AND HAPPINESS IN THE YEARS TO COME.
Whereas, William Long Felty and Betty Jean Repass were married in 1953; and
Whereas, the couple have been together since their days as high school sweethearts in Burke's Garden, Tazewell County, Virginia; and
Whereas, over the course of their marriage, William and Betty Jean have raised a beautiful and loving family of three children, Susan Delores Clabey, William Ronald Felty, and Leigh Anne Ogden; and
Whereas, William and Betty Jean are the proud and loving grandparents of three grandchildren, Andrea Clabey, Tyler Gary Clabey, and William Chad Felty; and
Whereas, William is a military veteran, and a retired professional bus driver, while Betty Jean is retired from the medical profession, is an excellent cook, and enjoys taking care of her family and helping others; and
Whereas, both enjoy attending church and being with family and friends; and
Whereas, this year marks the Fiftieth Wedding Anniversary of William Long Felty and Betty Jean Repass, an important milestone in their lives, and also makes fifty years of love, devotion, and mutual support that has enabled them to be a strong, loving Christian couple; and
Whereas, the members of the General Assembly by this resolution, wish to join in the spirit of this glorious occasion to express their warmest congratulations and heartfelt admiration to Mr. and Mrs. Felty. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:
That the members of the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, extend warmest regards and heartfelt congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. William L. Felty on the occasion of the celebration of their Fiftieth Wedding Anniversary, and extend to them every good wish for continued success and happiness in the years to come.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mr. and Mrs. William Long Felty.
