AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 7-7-280, AS AMENDED, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO THE DESIGNATION OF VOTING PRECINCTS IN GREENVILLE COUNTY, SO AS TO REDEFINE PRECINCT LINES AND ESTABLISH NEW PRECINCTS.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

Voting precincts in Greenville County redefined

SECTION 1. Precincts 8, 15, 16, 18, 19, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 47, 62, 75, 76, 87, 89, 94, 99, 100, and 105, as contained in Section 7-7-280 of the 1976 Code, as last amended by Act 495 of 1984, are further amended to read:

"Precinct 8, Greenville, shall consist of that area bounded on the north by Gower St., Ware St., Calhoun St., Birnie St., and Wardlaw St.; on the east by Pendleton St., Green Ave., and Guess St.; on the south by the Greenville City Limits, the Southern Railroad, and Hutchens St.; and on the west by Anderson Rd. (Hwy. 81), Valentine St., Minus St., the Greenville City Limits, Easley Bridge Rd. (Hwy. 123), S. Academy St., Perry Ave., Manning St., and Lindburg Ave. The polling place for this precinct is West End Fire Station.

Precinct 15, Greenville, shall consist of that area bounded on the north by the Seaboard Railroad; on the east by the Seaboard Railroad; on the south by Woodruff Rd. (Hwy. 146), Old Woodruff Rd., Haywood Rd., Laurens Rd. (Hwy. 276), Laurel Creek Ln., Carolina Ave., Don Dr., Parkins Mill Rd., Lady Marion Lane, Nottingham Rd., Scarlett St., Little John Ln., S. Pleasantburg Dr., (Hwy. 291), and E. Faris Rd. Ext.; and on the west by McAlister Rd., LeGrand Blvd., S. Pleasantburg Dr. (Hwy. 291), and N. Pleasantburg Dr. (Hwy. 291). The polling place for this precinct is Pleasantburg Fire Station.

Precinct 16, Greenville, shall consist of that area bounded on the north by Crescent Ave.; on the east by McDaniel Ave., AugustaNext Rd. (Hwy. 25), and W. Faris Rd.; on the south by W. Faris Rd., and the Brushy Creek; and on the west by Mills Ave. (Hwy. 29), and S. Church St. (Hwy 29). The polling place for this precinct is PreviousAugustaNext Road Baptist Church.

Precinct 18, Greenville, shall consist of that area bounded on the north by W. Faris Rd; on the east by PreviousAugustaNext St. (Hwy. 25); on the south by Rice St., Meyers Dr. (Marietta St.), and the Brushy Creek Branch; and on the west by the Brushy Creek. The polling place for this precinct is PreviousAugustaNext Circle School.

Precinct 19, Greenville, shall consist of that area bounded on the north by Meyers Dr. (Marietta St.) and Rice St.; on the east by PreviousAugustaNext St. (Hwy. 25); on the south by the Greenville City Limits; and on the west by the Brushy Creek and the Brushy Creek Branch. The polling place for this precinct is Hughes Middle School.

Precinct 23, Greenville, shall consist of that area bounded on the north by Windmont Dr., Parkins Mill Rd., Ponderosa Rd., Cleveland St. Ext., Henderson Dr., Laurens Rd. (Hwy. 276), Haywood Rd., Old Woodruff Rd., and Woodruff Rd. (Hwy. 146); on the east by the Seaboard Railroad; and on the south by I-85, the Greenville City Limits, Ridge Rd., the Greenville City Limits, the Laurel Creek, the Greenville City Limits, W. Butler Rd., the Greenville City Limits, W. Butler Rd., the Greenville City Limits, and I-85; and on the west by the Reedy River and S. Pleasantburg Dr. (Hwy. 291). The polling place for this precinct is J. L. Mann High School.

Precinct 24, Greenville, shall consist of that area bounded on the north by I-385; on the east by the Greenville City Limits, Congaree Rd., Wood's Crossing Rd., Webb Dr., Halton Rd., and Old Halton Rd. (Rocky Slope Rd.); on the south by Woodruff Rd. (Hwy. 146); and on the west by the Seaboard Railroad and N. Pleasantburg Dr. (Hwy. 291). The polling place for this precinct is First Church of the Nazarene.

Precinct 25, Greenville, shall consist of that area bounded on the north by E. North St., the Greenville City Limits, and Pelham Rd.; on the east by Haywood Rd.; on the south by I-385; and on the west by N. Pleasantburg Dr. (Hwy. 291). The polling place for this precinct is McCarter Presbyterian Church.

Precinct 26, Greenville, shall consist of that area bounded on the north by Dupont Dr., Harrington Ave., and E. North St.; on the east by N. Pleasantburg Dr. (Hwy. 291); on the south by I-385, Lowndes Hill Rd., Briarcliff Dr., Brookside Dr., Overbrook Rd., Spruce St., E. North St., Chestnut St., Bruce St., Austin St., Bethel St., Snow St., and Spartanburg St.; and on the west by E. Stone Ave. (Hwy. 276), N. Church St. (Hwy 29), and Wade Hampton Blvd. (Hwy. 29). The polling place for this precinct is E. North St. School.

Precinct 27, Greenville, shall consist of that area bounded on the north by N. Pleasantburg Dr. (Hwy. 291); on the east by N. Pleasantburg Dr. (Hwy. 291); on the south by E. North St., Harrington Ave., and Dupont Dr.; and on the west by Wade Hampton Blvd. (Hwy. 29). The polling place for this precinct is Overbrook Baptist Church.

Precinct 47, Furman, shall consist of that area bounded on the north by an unnamed stream, Old Buncombe Rd., Duncan Rd., (Hwy. 25 By-pass); on the east by the Poinsett Hwy. (Hwys. 25 & 276) and Old Buncombe Rd.; on the south by Sulphur Springs Rd.; and on the west by Watkins Rd., Watkins Bridge Rd., and the Reedy River. The polling place for this precinct is Enoree Vocational School.

Precinct 62, Sulphur Springs, shall consist of that area bounded on the north by Duncan Rd. (Hwy. 25 By-pass); on the east by the Reedy River, Watkins Bridge Rd., and Watkins Rd.; on the south by Sulphur Springs Rd. and Farr's Bridge Rd.; and on the west by White Horse Rd. The polling place for this precinct is Berea Elementary School.

Precinct 75, Brandon, shall consist of that area bounded on the north by the Southern Railroad, the Greenville City Limits, Old Easley Highway (Hwy. 124), and Traction St.; on the east by the Greenville City Limits, Minus St., and Valentine St.; on the south by Anderson Road (Hwy. 81), and Seaboard Railroad, and on the west by Seaboard Railroad, Easley Bridge Rd. (Hwy. 123), and the Seaboard Railroad. The polling place for this precinct is Christ United Methodist Church.

Precinct 76, Dunean, shall consist of that area bounded on the north by Hutchins St., the Southern Railroad, and the Greenville City Limits; on the east by Mills Ave. (Hwy 29), and the Brushy Creek; on the south by W. Faris Rd., the Greenville City Limits, W. Faris Rd., Simpson St., Marue Dr., and Washington Ave.; and on the west by Anderson Rd. (Hwy. 81). The polling place for this precinct is Dunean Recreation Center.

Precinct 87, Lake Forest, shall consist of that area bounded on the north by Edwards Rd., on the east by Botany Rd., Imperial Dr., and Howell Rd.; on the south by E. North St. Ext., Butler Springs Rd., and Pelham Rd.; and on the west by the Greenville City Limits, E. North St. Ext. and Shannon Dr. The polling place for this precinct is Aldersgate Methodist Church.

Precinct 89, Rock Hill, shall consist of that area bounded on the north by E. North St., Ext.; on the east by Terramont Dr., Fisher Rd., and Hudson Rd.; on the south by Pelham Rd.; and on the west by Butler Springs Rd. The polling place for this precinct is Mitchell Road Elementary School.

Precinct 94, Mission, shall consist of that area bounded on the north by Pelham Rd., Riley Smith Rd., and Roper Mtn. Rd.; on the east by I-85; on the south by I-85; and on the west by the Seaboard Railroad, Woodruff Rd., (Hwy. 146), Old Halton Rd. (Rocky Slope Rd.), Halton Rd., Webb Dr., Wood's Crossing Rd., Congaree Rd., the Greenville City Limits, I-385, and Haywood Rd. The polling place for this precinct is Wade Hampton Fire Station No. 2.

Precinct 99, Greenbriar, shall consist of that area bounded on the north by Conestee Rd., the Laurel Creek, W. Butler Ave., Mauldin City Limits, and Bridges Rd.; on the east by Bethel Rd., and Holland Rd.; on the south by Balcombe Rd. (Monroe Rd.), Hwy. 276, and Log Shoals Rd.; and on the west by the Reedy River. The polling place for this precinct is Greenbriar Elementary School.

Precinct 100, Conestee, shall consist of that area bounded on the north by I-85; on the east by the Reedy River; on the South by Log Shoals Rd.; and on the west by Fork Shoals Rd., Old PreviousAugustaNext Rd.,

and PreviousAugustaNext Rd. (Hwy. 25). The polling place for this precinct is Belmont Fire Station.

Precinct 105, Donaldson, shall consist of that area bounded on the north by Pecan Terrace, Donaldson Rd. (Air Base Rd.) and White Horse Rd. Ext.; on the east by Fork Shoals Rd.; on the south by Antioch Church Rd. and Ashmore Bridge Rd.; and on the west by PreviousAugustaNext Rd. (Hwy. 25). The polling place for this precinct is Donaldson Vocational Center."

SECTION 2. Section 7-7-280 of the 1976 Code, as last amended by Act 495 of 1984, is further amended by adding:

"Precinct 123, Royal Oaks, shall consist of that area bounded on the north by Crestfield Rd.; on the east by PreviousAugustaNext Rd. (Hwy. 25), Old PreviousAugusta Rd., and Fork Shoals Rd.; on the south by White Horse Rd. Ext., Donaldson Rd. (Air Base Rd.), and Pecan Terrace; and on the west by White Horse Rd., Fairfield Dr., W. Belvedere Rd., and Pinefield Dr. The polling place for this precinct is East Gantt Elementary School.

Precinct 124, Laurel Creek, shall consist of that area bounded on the north by I-85, the Greenville City Limits, W. Butler Rd., the Greenville City Limits, W. Butler Rd., the Greenville City Limits, the Laurel Creek, the Greenville City Limits, Ridge Rd., and the Greenville City Limits; on the east by Laurens Rd. (Hwy. 276) and the Mauldin City Limits; on the south by W. Butler Ave., the Laurel Creek, and Conestee Rd.; and on the west by the Reedy River. The polling place for this precinct is Laurel Creek School."

Time effective

SECTION 3. This act shall take effect upon approval by the Governor.
