A CONCURRENT
RESOLUTION
EXPRESSING THE CONGRATULATIONS OF THE MEMBERS OF
THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY TO MR. AND MRS. AUGUSTUS
FITCH OF COLUMBIA, WHO, ON FEBRUARY 22, 1991,
CELEBRATED THEIR FIFTIETH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY.
Whereas, the members of the General Assembly were delighted to learn
that on February 22, 1991, Mr. and Mrs. Augustus Fitch of Columbia
celebrated fifty years of marital bliss; and
Whereas, the devoted couple were honored by a dinner given at the
Epicurean restaurant by members of their family, Mr. and Mrs. Augustus
Fitch, III, of Springfield, Virginia, and the Rev. and Mrs. Babcock Fitch
of Middleton, Rhode Island; and
Whereas, it is appropriate for the members of the General Assembly to
pause in their deliberations to note this milestone in the lives of such
distinguished South Carolinians. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the Senate, the House of Representatives concurring:
That the members of the General Assembly express congratulations to
Mr. and Mrs. Augustus Fitch of Columbia, who on February 22, 1991,
celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mr.
and Mrs. Augustus Fitch.
