A SENATE RESOLUTION

CONGRATULATING MRS. BETTY CARTER OF BURNETTOWN, SOUTH CAROLINA, FOR BEING NAMED THE REALTOR OF THE YEAR BY THE NORTH PreviousAUGUSTANext/BELVEDERE BOARD OF REALTORS.

Whereas, Mrs. Betty Carter of Burnettown, South Carolina, has received the prestigious award of Realtor of the Year presented by the North PreviousAugustaNext/Belvedere Board of Realtors; and

Whereas, Mrs. Carter is a native and lifelong resident of Aiken County and was born and reared in Bath, South Carolina, to Cab and Louise Ott; and

Whereas, having begun her career in real estate over twenty-seven years ago, she mastered the trade and applied great determination and hard work to become the self-made businesswoman she is today; and

Whereas, Mrs. Carter is an active member of the real estate community and has been with Atlas Realty for nine years. Among her clients and colleagues she is well known for her integrity and professionalism; and

Whereas, she has worked with the South Carolina Realtors Association and is an active member of the Midland Valley Chamber of Commerce, a faithful member of Bath Methodist Church, and an avid traveler; and

Whereas, Mrs. Carter, the widow of the late Leonard Carter, Sr., is the loving mother of one daughter, Debbie Hubbard of North PreviousAugustaNext and one son, Len Carter of Aiken and the proud and beloved grandmother of Michael and Jonathan Hubbard and Amelia and Ben Carter; and

Whereas, the South Carolina Senate is pleased to have this opportunity to recognize one of South Carolina's finest ladies and an outstanding businesswoman. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate:

That the members of the South Carolina Senate, by this resolution, congratulate Mrs. Betty Carter of Burnettown, South Carolina, for being named the Realtor of the Year by the North PreviousAugusta/Belvedere Board of Realtors.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mrs. Betty Carter.
