 Senate to the family and many friends of Mrs. Frances Peeler Dorn of the
 Sweetwater Area of Edgefield County who died Tuesday, November 5, 1991.

A SENATE RESOLUTION

TO EXPRESS THE DEEPEST SYMPATHY OF THE MEMBERS OF THE SENATE TO THE FAMILY AND MANY FRIENDS OF MRS. FRANCES PEELER DORN OF THE SWEETWATER AREA OF EDGEFIELD COUNTY WHO DIED TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 5, 1991.

Whereas, Mrs. Frances Peeler Dorn of the Sweetwater area of Edgefield County died Tuesday, November 5, 1991; and

Whereas, she was a native of Edgefield County, the daughter of the late Ellis and Fannie Burnett Peeler, and a retired school teacher from the Edgefield County School District. Mrs. Dorn was also an active participant in community affairs, especially politics; and

Whereas, Mrs. Dorn wrote the "Sweetwater News" column in The Citizen News, a weekly report of the comings and goings of her neighbors and friends in the southwestern part of the county; and

Whereas, she was past president of the Meriwether Voter Precinct, a member of the Edgefield County Board of Voter Registration, and a member of Sweetwater Baptist Church; and

Whereas, survivors include her husband, Thomas W. Dorn; a daughter, Jaleh D. Ghaffari of Huntsville, Alabama; two sons, Thomas W. Dorn, II, and Ellis Peeler Dorn, both of North Augusta; two sisters, Ellie Mathis of Edgefield and Janie Byrd of St. Simon Island, Georgia; two brothers, Pete Peeler of Edgefield and Burnett Peeler of Beech Island; and two grandchildren. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate:

That the members of the Senate express deepest sympathy to the family and many friends of Mrs. Frances Peeler Dorn of the Sweetwater area of Edgefield County who died Tuesday, November 5, 1991.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the family of Mrs. Dorn.
