 death of Mr. Lloyd T. Olsen of Aiken County, former Aiken City Councilman, and
 extending sympathy to his family and many friends.

A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

EXPRESSING THE SORROW OF THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY AT THE DEATH OF MR. LLOYD T. OLSEN OF AIKEN COUNTY, FORMER AIKEN CITY COUNCILMAN, AND EXTENDING SYMPATHY TO HIS FAMILY AND MANY FRIENDS.

Whereas, Mr. Lloyd T. Olsen of Aiken County died on August 12, 1990, at the age of seventy-five; and

Whereas, he was born in Brooklyn, New York, and lived in Aiken for the past thirty-eight years; and

Whereas, he had retired from DuPont as an engineering supervisor after thirty-five years of service; and

Whereas, he was a graduate of the University of Virginia and received his master's degree from Harvard; and

Whereas, for thirty-one years he served on the advisory board of the Salvation Army, where he was past chairman and life member, and he was a former Aiken city councilman, where he served eight years; and

Whereas, he was involved in many civic organizations and church-related endeavors and was well known for his love for the City of Aiken; and

Whereas, he had distinguished professional and public services careers and was very highly respected and admired by all who knew him; and

Whereas, we want Mr. Olsen's family and his many friends to know that they have our deepest sympathy. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, expresses sorrow at the death of Mr. Lloyd T. Olsen of Aiken County, former Aiken city councilman, and extends sympathy to his family and many friends.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the members of Mr. Olsen's family, in care of his widow, Mrs. Crystal A. Olsen, 167 Barnard Street S.E., Aiken, South Carolina, 29801.
