 SERVICES, INC. SAVANNAH RIVER SITE LAW ENFORCEMENT DEPARTMENT, AND TO
 CONGRATULATE HIM ON THE OCCASION OF RECEIVING THE AMERICAN SOCIETY OF
 INDUSTRIAL SECURITY EXCELLENCE IN LAW ENFORCEMENT AWARD.

A HOUSE RESOLUTION

TO COMMEND LIEUTENANT RONNIE JOHNSON FOR OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE OF HIS DUTIES AS A KENNEL MASTER WHILE EMPLOYED BY THE WACKENHUT SERVICES, INC. SAVANNAH RIVER SITE LAW ENFORCEMENT DEPARTMENT, AND TO CONGRATULATE HIM ON THE OCCASION OF RECEIVING THE AMERICAN SOCIETY OF INDUSTRIAL SECURITY EXCELLENCE IN LAW ENFORCEMENT AWARD.

Whereas, Lieutenant Ronnie Johnson has served as the Kennel Master at Wackenhut Services, Incorporated-Savannah River Site Law Enforcement Department for the past eight years. The Wackenhut Services, Incorporated-Savannah River Site Canine Teams have received top honors and awards regionally and nationally during Lieutenant Johnson's tenure. His supervision and training resulted in the team, "David Harman and Rocky" receiving the United States Police Canine Association National Champion Team Award in 1997. The Canine Section consistently meets or exceeds the Canine Patrol and Detection standards established by the United States Police Canine Association; and

Whereas, Lieutenant Johnson is serving as United States Police Canine Association Region II, South Carolina and North Carolina, Vice President. He routinely serves as a judge for the United States Police Canine Association trials over the two-state area. He recently coordinated the United States Police Canine Association Region II Spring Detector Dog Trials at Savannah River Site, an event he has coordinated for the past eight years. He makes presentations on the establishment and management of a canine program to federal, state, and local agencies and provides joint canine training routinely to the Aiken Department of Public Safety, Aiken County Sheriff's Office, North Augusta Department of Public Safety, South Carolina Law Enforcement Division, and Fort Gordon. Additionally, he manages responses to calls for canine assistance from the local law enforcement community. This includes response to bomb threats and suspicious packages, and drug searches in schools. This assistance is a significant contribution to the Department of Energy Community Outreach Program; and

Whereas, as Canine Section Supervisor and Kennel Master, Lieutenant Johnson provides a high degree of reliability for explosive and narcotic detection at Savannah River Site. The Department of Energy-Savannah River Operations Office and Wackenhut Services, Incorporated-Savannah River Site consistently recognize the Canine Section for excellence in performance; and

Whereas, Lieutenant Johnson is a highly motivated and capable individual focused on providing the law enforcement community with a best-in-class canine resource. The professional canine community recognizes him as one of the best in the business. Lieutenant Johnson's determination in accomplishing his mission, sharing his expertise whenever it is needed, and making himself available to assist others, exemplifies the notable service in law enforcement the American Society for Industrial Security seeks to recognize. Now, therefore.

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the members of the House of Representatives, by this resolution, commend Lieutenant Ronnie Johnson for outstanding performance of his duties as Kennel Master while employed by the Wackenhut Services, Inc. Savannah River Site Law Enforcement Department, and to congratulate Lieutenant Ronnie Johnson on the occasion of his receiving the American Society of Industrial Security Excellence In Law Enforcement Award.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Lieutenant Ronnie Johnson.
