 THE TEAM MEMBERS FOR WINNING THE 2015 DIXIE YOUTH CLASS AA WORLD SERIES
 CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE.

TO RECOGNIZE AND HONOR THE HARTSVILLE NORTHERN DIXIE YOUTH BASEBALL LEAGUE COACH-PITCH TEAM FOR AN OUTSTANDING SEASON AND TO CONGRATULATE THE TEAM MEMBERS FOR WINNING THE 2015 DIXIE YOUTH CLASS AA WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE.

Whereas, the South Carolina House of Representatives is pleased to learn that the members of the Hartsville Northern League coach-pitch baseball team of Darlington County took top honors at the Dixie Youth World Series held at North Myrtle Beach in August 2015; and

Whereas, to the delight of their exuberant fans, the Hartsville squad advanced to the championship series after losing only its opening game to North Carolina by a single run and then defeating their next five opponents handily; and

Whereas, the team conquered Florida, 12-6; Mississippi, 17-12; Oklahoma, 8-7; and Georgia, 13-2 representing the Palmetto State in pool play; and

Whereas, in the championship series, the squad routed Tennessee 17-8 in the semifinals and thrashed Alabama 11-1 in the World Series finals to capture the title, finishing 6-1 overall; and

Whereas, making the Hartsville players' victory even more impressive, the team was awarded the World Series' Sportsmanship Award. Team members included Dylan Adams, Jaden Atkinson, Web Barnes, Braden Crawley, Brandon Harrison, Wells Jackson, Curtis Lear, Dawson Lloyd, Jackson Moore, Daniel Parker, Chanler Smith, Barrett Stewart, and Elijah Williams; and

Whereas, the city of Hartsville honored the players, coaches, and families of the Hartsville All Stars with a parade that included an escort from the Hartsville Police and Fire departments to a celebration at Hartsville Northern League fields where city, county and state officials offered their congratulations to the team; and

Whereas, in a sport that demands skill and strategy, the coaching staff of Robbie Parker, Bret Moore, Mike Adams, and Barry Stewart maximized their own training, athletic ability, and sheer love of the game to build a championship team and teach these athletes lessons that will prove invaluable through life both on and off the diamond; and

Whereas, the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives appreciate the pride and recognition that these baseball players have brought to their community and look to hear of their continued accomplishments in the days to ahead. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives, by this resolution, recognize and honor the Hartsville Northern Dixie Youth Baseball League coach-pitch team and coaches for an outstanding season and congratulate the team members for winning the 2015 Dixie Youth Class AA World Series Championship title.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Coach Robbie Parker.
