A Joint Resolution to provide that candidates for school board in Kershaw
County, for 1992 only, shall file for the office between noon June first and
noon June twenty-fifth, to provide an exception in the case of earlier filings
in accordance with otherwise applicable provisions of law, and to provide that
the date of the initial election is the fourth Tuesday in August.

A JOINT RESOLUTION TO PROVIDE THAT CANDIDATES FOR
SCHOOL BOARD IN KERSHAW COUNTY, FOR 1992 ONLY, SHALL
FILE FOR THE OFFICE BETWEEN NOON JUNE FIRST AND NOON
JUNE TWENTY-FIFTH, TO PROVIDE AN EXCEPTION IN THE
CASE OF EARLIER FILINGS IN ACCORDANCE WITH OTHERWISE
APPLICABLE PROVISIONS OF LAW, AND TO PROVIDE THAT
THE DATE OF THE INITIAL ELECTION IS THE FOURTH
TUESDAY IN AUGUST.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
Filing dates, initial election changed; etc.
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, for
candidates for school board in Kershaw County for 1992 only, the dates
for filing for the office by all such candidates is between noon June first
and noon June twenty-fifth, and the date for the initial election is the
fourth Tuesday in August. However, any person who has filed for the
office prior to the enactment of this act in accordance with the law which
would otherwise govern as to the dates for such filings shall not be
required to file for the office again between June 1 and June 25, 1992, and
his earlier filing shall be deemed a sufficient filing.
Time effective
SECTION 2. This joint resolution takes effect upon approval by the
Governor.
