H 2819 General Bill, By R.L. Cobb, W.S. Anderson, S.H. Howard and L. Phillips
 A Bill to amend Section 7-13-40, Code of Laws of South Carolina, 1976, as
 amended, relating to the time for holding party primary elections and for
 offering for nomination in such elections, so as to change the date for the
 holding of primary elections from the second Tuesday in June to the first
 Tuesday in August of each General Election year; to change the opening and
 closing dates for filing for nomination in primary elections for statewide,
 congressional or district offices which include more than one county from
 April sixteenth opening date and April thirtieth closing date to June tenth
 opening date and June twenty-fifth closing date and to change the dates for
 entries offering for nomination in such party primaries for State Senator,
 member of the House of Representatives, countywide or less than countywide
 office from opening date March sixteenth and closing date March thirtieth to
 opening date May tenth and closing date May twenty-fifth.
