A CONCURRENT
RESOLUTION
TO CONGRATULATE MISS AUDRA WALLACE OF
CHARLESTON UPON BEING NAMED MISS 1993 SOUTH
CAROLINA.
Whereas, Miss Audra Wallace of Charleston competed for the title of
Miss 1993 South Carolina and was selected; and
Whereas, Miss Wallace, a 1993 graduate of Clemson University with a
major in English, is a professional model and national motivational
speaker; and
Whereas, she also owns and operates a personal development and image
consulting business and received a federal grant in 1992 for her proposal
"Drama and Writing Across Cultures"; and
Whereas, Miss Wallace has received numerous honors and awards,
including Dean's List and Presidential Advisor at Clemson University,
American Lung Association and National 4-H Leadership scholarships;
and
Whereas, as Miss 1993 South Carolina, Miss Wallace will represent
South Carolina in Miss 1993 World America and the winner of Miss
1993 World America will compete for the title Miss World, which is the
longest running international competition; and
Whereas, Miss Wallace represents the highest qualities of intelligence,
poise, beauty, and involvement in career and community; and
Whereas, she plans to obtain a doctorate in English and establish an
organization for children with disabilities and from dysfunctional
families. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:
That the members of the General Assembly congratulate Miss Audra
Wallace of Charleston upon being named Miss 1993 South Carolina.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Miss
Wallace.
