A HOUSE RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING AND COMMENDING MARY FREEMAN ELAM OF LEGISLATIVE
INFORMATION SYSTEMS FOR EXEMPLARY SERVICE TO THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY AND WISHING
HER HAPPINESS AND SUCCESS IN HER FUTURE ENDEAVORS.
03/06/97 House Introduced and adopted HJ-28
A HOUSE RESOLUTION
RECOGNIZING AND COMMENDING MARY FREEMAN ELAM
OF LEGISLATIVE INFORMATION SYSTEMS FOR
EXEMPLARY SERVICE TO THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY AND
WISHING HER HAPPINESS AND SUCCESS IN HER FUTURE
ENDEAVORS.
Whereas, for twenty-one years Mary Freeman Elam has served the
General Assembly, as well as the members of the public and all of
state government, most devotedly through her work at Legislative
Information Systems (LIS); and
Whereas, the members of the General Assembly quickly grew to
admire her for her intelligence, efficiency, hard work, and dedication;
she also possesses a truly kind and sweet personality -- a fact which
has endeared her to all who have known her; and
Whereas, she is leaving her position at LIS effective March 6, 1997;
this comes as a blow to the members because her unique quality and
style of service and assistance will be greatly missed; and
Whereas, we want Mary to know that she has made our job much
easier, that all of her efforts are greatly appreciated, and that we will
always hold her in the highest esteem. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
That the members of the House of Representatives of the State of
South Carolina, by this resolution, recognize and commend Mary
Freeman Elam of Legislative Information Systems for exemplary
service to the General Assembly and wish her happiness and success
in her future endeavors.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to
Mary Freeman Elam .
