1976, relating to the fees of Masters-in-Equity, so as to provide that any
filing fees previously paid in the circuit court where the case has been
referred to the Master-in-Equity must be a credit against any fees due to the
Master-in-Equity.

A BILL
TO AMEND SECTION 14-11-310, AS AMENDED, CODE OF LAWS
OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO THE FEES OF
MASTERS-IN-EQUITY, SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT ANY FILING
FEES PREVIOUSLY PAID IN THE CIRCUIT COURT WHERE THE
CASE HAS BEEN REFERRED TO THE MASTER-IN-EQUITY
MUST BE A CREDIT AGAINST ANY FEES DUE TO THE
MASTER-IN-EQUITY.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. Section 14-11-310 of the 1976 Code, as last amended
by Section 7, Part II of Act 678 of 1988, is further amended by adding
at the end:
"Any filing fees previously paid in the circuit court where the
case has been referred to the master-in-equity must be a credit against
any fees due to the master-in-equity under the provisions of this
section."
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
