H 3251 General Bill, By F.L. Day
 A Bill to amend Section 24-19-10, Code of Laws of South Carolina, 1976,
 relating to definitions contained in Chapter 19 of Title 24, correction and
 treatment of youthful offenders, so as to provide for "youthful offender" to
 mean offenders who are fourteen but less than nineteen years of age at the
 time of convictionNext, instead of seventeen but less than twenty-five years of
 age; and to amend Section 24-19-50, relating to powers of the court upon the
 Previousconviction of youthful offenders, so as to authorize the court to sentence a
 youthful offender indefinitely to the custody of the Department of
 Corrections, without his consent, if he is under the age of nineteen, instead
 of under the age of twenty-one and to delete the provisions authorizing the
 court to sentence a youthful offender indefinitely to the custody of the
 Department, with his consent, if he is twenty-one years of age but less than
 twenty-five years of age.
