A Bill to amend Section 7-7-350, Code of Laws of South Carolina, 1976,
relating to voting precincts in Lancaster County, so as to redesignate the
precincts and add an official document designation which is maintained and
kept on file with the Division of Research and Statistical Services of the
Budget and Control Board, and to authorize the polling places for the
precincts in Lancaster County be established by the County Board of Elections
and Voter Registration subject to the approval by a majority of the Lancaster
County Legislative Delegation.

AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 7-7-350, CODE OF LAWS OF
SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO VOTING PRECINCTS IN
LANCASTER COUNTY, SO AS TO REDESIGNATE THE
PRECINCTS AND ADD AN OFFICIAL DOCUMENT DESIGNATION
WHICH IS MAINTAINED AND KEPT ON FILE WITH THE
DIVISION OF RESEARCH AND STATISTICAL SERVICES OF THE
BUDGET AND CONTROL BOARD, AND TO AUTHORIZE THE
POLLING PLACES FOR THE PRECINCTS IN LANCASTER
COUNTY BE ESTABLISHED BY THE COUNTY BOARD OF
ELECTIONS AND VOTER REGISTRATION SUBJECT TO THE
APPROVAL BY A MAJORITY OF THE LANCASTER COUNTY
LEGISLATIVE DELEGATION.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South
Carolina:
Precincts in Lancaster County
SECTION 1. Section 7-7-350 of the 1976 Code is amended to read:
"Section 7-7-350. (A) In Lancaster County there are the
following voting precincts:
Antioch;
Belaire;
Camp Creek;
Carmel;
Chesterfield Avenue;
Douglas;
Dwight;
Elgin;
Erwin Farm;
Gooch's Cross Road;
Heath Springs;
Hyde Park;
Jacksonham;
Kershaw North;
Kershaw South;
Lancaster East;
Lancaster West;
Lynwood Drive;
Midway;
Pleasant Hill;
Pleasant Valley;
Rich Hill;
Riverside;
Spring Hill;
Unity;
Van Wyck; and
Wylie Park.
(B) The precinct lines defining the above precincts are as shown on
maps filed with the clerk of court of the county and also on file with the
State Election Commission as provided and maintained by the Division
of Research and Statistical Services of the State Budget and Control
Board designated as document P-5796.
(C) The polling places for the precincts provided in this section must
be established by the Lancaster County Board of Elections and Voter
Registration subject to approval by a majority of the Lancaster County
Legislative Delegation."

SECTION 2. This act takes effect January 1, 1997.
