A BILL
TO DEVOLVE THE POWERS, DUTIES, AND
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE FAIRFIELD COUNTY
RECREATION DISTRICT ON THE GOVERNING BODY OF
FAIRFIELD COUNTY, TO TRANSFER ALL ASSETS AND
LIABILITIES OF THE DISTRICT TO THE COUNTY, AND TO
REPEAL ACT 1059 OF 1970 RELATING TO THE CREATION OF
THE FAIRFIELD COUNTY RECREATION DISTRICT.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South
Carolina:
SECTION 1. The powers, duties, and responsibilities of the
Fairfield County Recreation District are devolved on the governing
body of Fairfield County. All assets and liabilities of the district are
transferred to the governing body of Fairfield County on the effective
date of this act.
SECTION 2. Act 1059 of 1970 is repealed.
SECTION 3. This act becomes effective when the governing body
of Fairfield County adopts an ordinance accepting the devolution of
the powers, duties, and responsibilities pursuant to the provisions of
this act.
