AN ACT TO PROVIDE FOR AN ADDITIONAL MAGISTRATE FOR MARION PreviousCOUNTYNext AND TO PROVIDE THAT MAGISTRATES' TERMS IN MARION PreviousCOUNTYNext SHALL BE FOR FOUR YEARS.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

Additional magistrate for Marion PreviousCountyNext

SECTION 1. In addition to the number of magistrates authorized by law for Marion PreviousCountyNext, there is authorized one additional magistrate. He must be available during the periods established by the chief magistrate of the PreviouscountyNext. He shall take the oath of office taken by other magistrates in the PreviouscountyNext. The compensation of this magistrate must be set by the governing body of the PreviouscountyNext.

Term

SECTION 2. Magistrates in Marion PreviousCounty must be appointed for terms of four years and until their successors are appointed andqualify.

Time effective

SECTION 3. This act shall take effect upon approval by the Governor.
