AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 7-7-450, AS AMENDED, CODE
OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO THE
VOTING PRECINCTS FOR PICKENS COUNTY, SO AS TO
CONSOLIDATE THE UNIVERSITY PRECINCT AND THE FORT
HILL PRECINCT IN PICKENS COUNTY INTO A SINGLE
PRECINCT ENTITLED THE "FORT HILL" PRECINCT
AND REVISE THE DATE OF THE OFFICIAL MAP ON WHICH THE
LINES OF THESE PRECINCTS ARE DELINEATED.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South
Carolina:
Precincts consolidated
SECTION 1. The University voting precinct and the Fort Hill voting
precinct in Pickens County are hereby consolidated into a single precinct
entitled the "Fort Hill" precinct. The official maps on file
with the Division of Research and Statistical Services of the Budget and
Control Board shall be redrawn to show the new precinct lines.
University precinct consolidated with Fort Hill precinct
SECTION 2. Section 7-7-450 of the 1976 Code, as last amended by Act
107 of 1993, is further amended to read:
"Section 7-7-450. (A) In Pickens County there are the following
voting precincts:

(B) The precinct lines defining the above precincts are as shown on
official maps on file with the Division of Research and Statistical
Services of the Budget and Control Board designated as document
P-7796 and as shown on certified copies provided to the State Election
Commission and the Pickens County Board of Voter Registration by the
division.
(C) The polling places for the precincts provided in this section must
be established by the Pickens County Registration and Elections
Commission subject to the approval of the majority of the Pickens
County Legislative Delegation."
Time effective
SECTION 3. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
