 VOTER REGISTRATION AND ELECTION COMMISSION AND ITS DIRECTOR, MRS. PAN
 MILLWOOD, AND STAFF FOR BEING HONORED AS THE MOST OUTSTANDING OFFICE FOR 1996
 BY THE STATE OF SOUTH CAROLINA ELECTION COMMISSION.

RECOGNIZING AND CONGRATULATING THE ANDERSON COUNTY VOTER REGISTRATION AND ELECTION COMMISSION AND ITS DIRECTOR, MRS. PAN MILLWOOD, AND STAFF FOR BEING HONORED AS THE MOST OUTSTANDING OFFICE FOR 1996 BY THE STATE OF SOUTH CAROLINA ELECTION COMMISSION.

Whereas, the State Election Commission presented two awards at the recent annual conference of the South Carolina Association of Registration and Election Officials; and

Whereas, the award for Most Outstanding Office for 1996 was given to the Anderson County Voter Registration and Election Commission; and

Whereas, the commission; its Director, Mrs. Pan Millwood; and its entire staff were recognized for the "excellent job" they do in carrying out the responsibilities of the commission; and

Whereas, their dedicated service to the voters of Anderson County perpetuates the democratic principles upon which our nation was founded, assuring that the government of Anderson County is truly of the people, by the people, and for the people; and

Whereas, their performance brings pride to the citizens of Anderson County and serves as a model for other counties. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the Anderson County Voter Registration and Election Commission and its Director, Mrs. Pan Millwood, and its staff be recognized and congratulated for being honored as the Most Outstanding Office for 1996 by the State of South Carolina Election Commission.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mrs. Pan Millwood, Director, on behalf of the Anderson County Voter Registration and Election Commission.
