 JEFFCOAT OF PELION ON THE OCCASION OF THEIR FIFTIETH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY AND
 TO EXTEND BEST WISHES FOR MANY MORE YEARS OF BLESSING AND FULFILLMENT.

TO CONGRATULATE DONALD RICHARD JEFFCOAT AND BETTY FULMER JEFFCOAT OF PELION ON THE OCCASION OF THEIR FIFTIETH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY AND TO EXTEND BEST WISHES FOR MANY MORE YEARS OF BLESSING AND FULFILLMENT.

Whereas, the members of the South Carolina Senate are pleased to learn that Donald Richard Jeffcoat and Betty Fulmer Jeffcoat will celebrate their fiftieth wedding anniversary on June 25, 2009; and

Whereas, there is no greater success in life than a marriage that endures the test of time and grows stronger with each passing year; and

Whereas, the long-lasting love and support of a spouse is unmatched in its importance and cannot be overestimated; and

Whereas, married on June 25, 1959, Swansea native Donald Richard Jeffcoat and his Pelion-born sweetheart, Betty Fulmer, have made their home in Pelion for many years. Their commitment to one another over the past fifty years is to be revered and serves as an inspiration to both family and friends; and

Whereas, as active members of their community, Donald and Betty help with the Pelion Peanut Party and hold membership at Mt. Hermon Baptist Church, a source of unity and strength for this devoted couple. Donald is retired from Owens Corning Fiberglass, and Betty, from work with the South Carolina Highway Department; and

Whereas, in recognition of their fifty years together, Donald and Betty will be honored by family and friends with a celebratory event on Saturday, June 20, 2009, at Gibson Commons in Lexington; and

Whereas, it is with great pleasure that the members of the Senate express their congratulations to these two special South Carolinians on reaching the milestone of their golden wedding anniversary. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate:

That the members of the South Carolina Senate, by this resolution, congratulate Donald Richard Jeffcoat and Betty Fulmer Jeffcoat of Pelion on the occasion of their fiftieth wedding anniversary and extend best wishes for many more years of blessing and fulfillment.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Donald Richard Jeffcoat and Betty Fulmer Jeffcoat.
