 OF REPRESENTATIVES UPON THE DEATH OF KINSEY BLACK JONES OF COLUMBIA ON FRIDAY,
 NOVEMBER 9, 2001, AND TO EXTEND DEEPEST SYMPATHY TO HER FAMILY AND MANY
 FRIENDS.

TO EXPRESS THE SINCERE SORROW OF THE MEMBERS OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES UPON THE DEATH OF KINSEY BLACK JONES OF COLUMBIA ON FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 9, 2001, AND TO EXTEND DEEPEST SYMPATHY TO HER FAMILY AND MANY FRIENDS.

Whereas, the members of the House of Representatives are deeply saddened by the passing of Kinsey Black Jones on Friday, November 9, 2001, at the young age of thirty; and

Whereas, Kinsey Black Jones was born November 8, 1971, in Sumter to James Cleveland Black, Sr., and Nellie Kinsey Black; and

Whereas, she graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and a Master's Degree in Inter-Disciplinary Studies; and

Whereas, Kinsey Jones touched many lives as a kindergarten teacher at Hammond School; she was loved by her students and fellow faculty members; and

Whereas, Kinsey was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church in Columbia and a former member of Manning United Methodist Church and the Junior League of Columbia; and

Whereas, the House of Representatives extends its compassion to the family and friends of Mrs. Kinsey Black Jones. She is survived by her husband, Franklin Matthew Jones of Columbia; her parents James Cleveland Black, Sr., and Nellie Kinsey Black of Manning; two brothers, James C. Black and his wife, Theresa, of Greensboro, North Carolina and Jeffrey T. Black and his wife, Stephanie, of Manning; grandmother, Vivian Geddings Black of Manning; and five nieces and nephews. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the members of the House of Representatives of the State of South Carolina by this resolution, express their profound sorrow upon the death of Kinsey Black Jones of Columbia on Friday, November 9, 2001, and extend deepest sympathy to her family and many friends.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Franklin Matthew Jones and Mr. and Mrs. James Cleveland Black, Sr.
