AN ACT TO REPEAL PreviousARTICLENext 17 OF CHAPTER 13 OF TITLE 51 OF THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO HERITAGE WORLD EXPO AUTHORITY.

Whereas, the General Assembly enacted PreviousArticleNext 17 of Chapter 13 of Title 51 of the 1976 Code so as to create the Heritage World Expo Authority to determine the feasibility of establishing an Expo project; and

Whereas, the Heritage World Expo Authority has conducted a preliminary feasibility study of the proposed Expo project; and

Whereas, it has been determined by the study that The Expo is "economically infeasible and warrants no further study"; and

Whereas, the Authority at its September 18, 1985, meeting adopted a motion recommending that it be disbanded. Now, therefore,

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

Repeal

SECTION 1. PreviousArticle 17 of Chapter 13 of Title 51 of the 1976 Code is repealed.

Time effective

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon approval by the Governor.
