 CONGRATULATE HIM ON BEING INDUCTED INTO SOUTH CAROLINA ATHLETIC COACHES
 ASSOCIATION HALL OF FAME.

TO COMMEND HEAD COACH FRED SENTER OF MULLINS HIGH SCHOOL FOR HIS EXTRAORDINARY CAREER AS BOTH A COACH AND AN EDUCATOR AND TO CONGRATULATE HIM ON BEING INDUCTED INTO SOUTH CAROLINA ATHLETIC COACHES ASSOCIATION HALL OF FAME.

Whereas, after a long and extremely successful tenure as the girls head basketball coach at Mullins High School, Coach Fred Senter of Mullins, has been named to the South Carolina Athletic Coaches Association Hall of Fame; and

Whereas, Coach Senter will be inducted into the Hall of Fame at a presentation that will take place in Charleston, South Carolina, on July 28, 2002; and

Whereas, during his career, Coach Fred Senter has won an astounding 737 games and has led the Auctioneers of Mullins High School to three state championships, while suffering only 206 losses; and

Whereas, Coach Senter has been involved with high school basketball for nearly forty years now, and although he no longer teaches classes at Mullins High School, he is constantly educating young people about life and what it takes to succeed; and

Whereas, the girls basketball team at Mullins High School has experienced tremendous success under the direction of Coach Senter, having been runners-up for the state championship in 1998, claiming the title in 1999, and helping Coach Senter record his seven hundredth career victory on January 2, 2001; and

Whereas, Coach Fred Senter has helped coach students at Mullins High School in a variety of athletic programs including girls basketball, football, and baseball while at the same time providing academic instruction in the classroom; and

Whereas, Coach Senter, having achieved great success on the bench, has always stressed to his players the value of teamwork and the importance of hard work, and his outstanding success over the years is a testament to a program being run the right way by a coach who emphasized the right things; and

Whereas, when asked by a fellow coach how one reaches the mark of having seven hundred wins, Coach Senter cheerfully responded, "you have to be sixty-five years old and have a lot of luck;" however, it is clear to all those who know him that Coach Senter's incredible success is based on much more than age and chance. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the members of the South Carolina General Assembly, by this resolution, commend Head Coach Fred Senter of Mullins High School for his extraordinary career as both a coach and an educator and congratulate him on being inducted into South Carolina Athletic Coaches Association Hall of Fame.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Coach Fred Senter of Mullins, South Carolina.
