H*4260 Session 110 (1993-1994)
H*4260 Resolution, By Sheheen
A House Resolution to commend and to congratulate Ms. Virginia Hudson of
Kershaw County for her unselfish and tireless efforts in providing needed care
to less fortunate citizens by establishing the Wateree Charge Crisis Center.
06/01/93 House Introduced and adopted HJ-11
A HOUSE RESOLUTION
TO COMMEND AND TO CONGRATULATE MS. VIRGINIA
HUDSON OF KERSHAW COUNTY FOR HER UNSELFISH AND
TIRELESS EFFORTS IN PROVIDING NEEDED CARE TO LESS
FORTUNATE CITIZENS BY ESTABLISHING THE WATEREE
CHARGE CRISIS CENTER.
Whereas, Ms. Virginia Hudson has devoted her time and generosity by
providing food for some twenty-four to thirty families that are not
fortunate enough to be able to provide food for themselves; and
Whereas, through her efforts to feed many less fortunate people living
in that area of Kershaw County through her soup kitchen which operates
every three months providing soup, corn bread, punch, and a sweet
dessert, an invaluable service is offered to those in need; and
Whereas, funds are not collected for this service nor are any asked; and
Whereas, Ms. Hudson, even though she has two full-time jobs, finds
time to go to Columbia to pick up food when no one else can; and
Whereas, Ms. Hudson has provided and continues to provide this service
for any person, regardless of race, creed, color, or whether they attend
the church at which the crisis center is located; and
Whereas, this deserving servant of God has touched many lives with her
generosity and compassion. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
That the members of the House of Representatives hereby commend and
congratulate Ms. Virginia Hudson of Kershaw County for her unselfish
and tireless efforts in providing needed care in establishing the Wateree
Charge Crisis Center.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Ms.
Virginia Hudson and to The Reverend Willie Lawson, Pastor, Wateree
Charge United Methodist Church, Lugoff, South Carolina.
