EXPRESSING THE SORROW OF THE MEMBERS OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES AT THE DEATH OF MR. EDDIE JOHNSON OF AIKEN COUNTY, THE FATHER-IN-LAW OF OUR COLLEAGUE IN THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY AND GOOD FRIEND, SENATOR TOMMY MOORE, AND EXTENDING SYMPATHY TO MR. JOHNSON'S FAMILY AND MANY FRIENDS.

Whereas, Mr. Eddie Johnson of Clearwater, Aiken County, has died at the age of seventy-two; and

Whereas, he was the father-in-law of our colleague in the General Assembly and good friend, Senator Tommy Moore; and

Whereas, Mr. Johnson was a native of Clearwater and was retired from Dixie Clay Company in Bath; and

Whereas, he was a veteran of the United States Army, having served during World War II, and was a member of Clearwater First Baptist Church and Woodmen of the World; and

Whereas, we want Mrs. Johnson, Tommy and Dale Moore, and all the rest of Mr. Johnson's family and his many friends to know that they are uppermost in our thoughts and have our deepest sympathy. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the members of the House of Representatives; by this resolution, express sorrow at the death of Mr. Eddie Johnson of Aiken County, the father-in-law of our colleague and good friend, Senator Tommy Moore, and extend sympathy to Mr. Johnson's family and his many friends.
