ORGANIZATIONS AND CONGRATULATE HIM FOR HIS LEADERSHIP, PERSONAL
ACCOMPLISHMENTS, AND THE MANY SUCCESSES OF THE COUNCIL OF MYRTLE BEACH AREA
ORGANIZATIONS THAT BENEFIT THOSE ENGAGED IN THE ENTERTAINMENT, HOSPITALITY,
AND TOURISM INDUSTRY IN THE MYRTLE BEACH AREA DURING HIS THREE YEARS AS
CHAIRMAN.

A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
TO COMMEND DONALD D. LEONARD OF MYRTLE BEACH FOR HIS OUTSTANDING SERVICE AS CHAIRMAN OF THE COUNCIL OF MYRTLE BEACH AREA ORGANIZATIONS AND CONGRATULATE HIM FOR HIS LEADERSHIP, PERSONAL ACCOMPLISHMENTS, AND THE MANY SUCCESSES OF THE COUNCIL OF MYRTLE BEACH AREA ORGANIZATIONS THAT BENEFIT THE MEMBER ORGANIZATIONS AND THOSE ENGAGED IN THE ENTERTAINMENT, HOSPITALITY, AND TOURISM INDUSTRY IN THE MYRTLE BEACH AREA DURING HIS THREE YEARS AS CHAIRMAN.
Whereas, the Council of Myrtle Beach Area Organizations is composed of the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce, the Myrtle Beach Area Hospitality Association, the Myrtle Beach Area Golf Course Owners Association, Entertainment Holiday, and Oceanfront Property Owners Association, and Golf Holiday; and
Whereas, the Council of Myrtle Beach Area Organizations is the umbrella lobbying group for the six member associations representing the hospitality and tourism industry; and
Whereas, the Council of Myrtle Beach Area Organizations works closely with the Horry County and Georgetown County delegations on statewide legislation which benefits the tourism and hospitality industries of South Carolina; and
Whereas, as a member of the Southeast Tourism Society, the council promotes travel and tourism within the ten states of the southeast by its lobbying efforts in the United States Congress; and
Whereas, Donald D. Leonard has served as Chairman of the Council of Myrtle Beach Area Organizations for the past three years, and he has provided initiative and invaluable leadership to the efforts of the council. He has earned the admiration and respect of those with whom he has worked, especially the members of the Horry and Georgetown legislative delegations. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:
That the members of the General Assembly, by this resolution, commend Donald D. Leonard of Myrtle Beach for his outstanding service as Chairman of the Council of Myrtle Beach Area Organizations, and congratulate him for his leadership, personal accomplishments, and the many successes of the Council of Myrtle Beach Area Organizations that benefit the member organizations and those engaged in the entertainment, hospitality, and tourism industry in the Myrtle Beach area during his three years as chairman.
Be it further resolved that copies of this resolution be forwarded to Donald D. Leonard and to the Council of Myrtle Beach Area Organizations.
