 COMMENDING AND THANKING HIM FOR HIS DEDICATED SERVICE FOR MANY YEARS TO THE
 CITIZENS OF HIS COMMUNITY.

CONGRATULATING DR. NATHANIEL IRVIN, SR., OF AIKEN COUNTY ON THE HAPPY OCCASION OF HIS SEVENTIETH BIRTHDAY (SATURDAY, MARCH 20, 1999), AND COMMENDING AND THANKING HIM FOR HIS DEDICATED SERVICE FOR MANY YEARS TO THE CITIZENS OF HIS COMMUNITY.

Whereas, Dr. Nathaniel Irvin, Sr., of Aiken County is the pastor of Old Stone Branch Baptist Church of Clearwater and has served the church for more than two decades; and

Whereas, Dr. Irvin is known, respected, and admired for his outstanding accomplishments and his positive influence throughout Aiken County, the State of South Carolina, and America; and

Whereas, he has a positive outlook on life and treats the people of his county in a Christ-like manner; he is a proud father, husband, minister, educator, and community leader; his influence has improved the quality of life for many persons - both young and old; and

Whereas, Dr. Irvin is greatly deserving of the sincerest thanks for all of his contributions and his dedicated service, and the happy occasion of his seventieth birthday (Saturday, March 20, 1999) is a truly appropriate time to thank and recognize him. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the House of Representatives of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, congratulates Dr. Nathaniel Irvin, Sr., of Aiken County on the happy occasion of his seventieth birthday (Saturday, March 20, 1999), and commends and thanks him for his dedicated service for many years to the citizens of his community.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Dr. Irvin.
