A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

EXPRESSING THE SORROW OF THE MEMBERS OF THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF SOUTH CAROLINA UPON LEARNING OF THE DEATH OF MR. MIKE A. BOATWRIGHT OF FLORENCE COUNTY AND EXTENDING THE DEEPEST SYMPATHY TO HIS FAMILY AND MANY FRIENDS.

Whereas, Mr. Mike A. Boatwright died on Wednesday, April 21, 1999, at the young age of forty-five; and

Whereas, Mike Boatwright was born in Aiken County and was the son of Edith Hallman Boatwright and the late Lewis Harold Boatwright; and

Whereas, Mr. Boatwright was a project manager with BellSouth and a member of the Telephone Pioneers; and

Whereas, he was a member of Bluffton Baptist Church and attended Ebenezer Baptist Church in Florence, South Carolina; and

Whereas, he was the loving husband of Delores D. Boatwright of Florence; a devoted father to his two sons Kevin Boatwright and Alan Boatwright, both of Florence; and is survived by three brothers, Dale Boatwright of Lancaster; Earl Boatwright of Columbia, and Tony Boatwright of Florence; and

Whereas, this dear and caring man will be sorely missed by all whose life touched his; and

Whereas, we want the members of his family and many friends to know that they are in our thoughts and have our sincerest sympathy. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the members of the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, express their sorrow upon learning of the death of Mr. Mike A. Boatwright of Florence County and extending the deepest sympathy to his family and many friends.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to his wife, Mrs. Delores D. Boatwright.
