 AN EAGLE SCOUT.

CONGRATULATING BRIAN AUSTIN ATKINSON OF MARION ON BECOMING AN EAGLE SCOUT.

Whereas, the members of the House of Representatives are delighted to learn that Brian Austin Atkinson, son of Larry W. and Dawn E. Atkinson of Marion, has become an Eagle Scout, the culmination of an outstanding career in scouting; and

Whereas, young Mr. Atkinson, graduating this spring of 2007 from Pee Dee Academy, is an exemplar of all those attributes and qualities nourished by the Boy Scouts and which have provided a steady stream of South Carolinians with self-reliance and leadership qualities that cause them as adults to rise to positions of trust and responsibility in this State and in the nation; and

Whereas, Brian will enter Clemson University in the 2007 fall term as a civil engineering major; and

Whereas, his family's pride in his accomplishments is shared by the members of the House of Representatives. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the members of the House of Representatives of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, congratulate Brian Austin Atkinson of Marion on becoming an Eagle Scout.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Brian Atkinson.
