AN ACT TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION
20-3-125 SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT ANY ATTORNEY WHOSE CLIENT HAS BEEN AWARDED AN
ATTORNEY FEE BY THE FAMILY COURT MAY PETITION THE FAMILY COURT TO ENFORCE THE
PAYMENT OF SUCH FEE.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
Attorney fees
SECTION 1. The 1976 Code is amended by adding:
"Section 20-3-125. Any attorney whose client has been awarded an attorney
fee by the family court may petition the family court for the circuit in which
the order was filed to enforce the payment of such fee."
Time effective
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon approval by the Governor. |
