A CONCURRENT
RESOLUTION
RECOGNIZING AND CONGRATULATING ELECTRIC CITY
PRINTING COMPANY OF ANDERSON ON BEING AWARDED
THE CONTRACTS TO PRINT COMPETITION NUMBERS FOR
THE 1996 OLYMPICS AND FOR THE 1996 ATLANTA
PARALYMPIC GAMES.
Whereas, Michael L. Little, Chief Executive Officer of Electric City
Printing Company of Anderson announced recently that his
company has been awarded the contracts to print competition
numbers for the 1996 Olympics being held in Atlanta, Georgia, July
19 through August 4 and for the 1996 Atlanta Paralympic Games
scheduled for August 15-25; and
Whereas, Electric City Printing will be producing competition
numbers in the Olympics for events representing seventy-seven
countries; some of the events for which the numbers will be printed
include archery, boxing, canoeing, mountain cycling, road cycling,
track cycling, team pursuit cycling, modern pentathlon, and table
tennis; and
Whereas, the 1996 Atlanta Paralympic Games constitute the world's
elite competition for athletes with physical disabilities; events in the
Paralympic Games for which numbers are being printed include
basketball, cycling, equestrian, fencing, football (soccer), shooting,
and table tennis; and
Whereas, for Electric City Printing to have received both of these
highly-prized contracts is a terrific honor; Electric City Printing has
distinguished itself greatly and has also made the citizens of South
Carolina very proud; and
Whereas, we are truly pleased to have this opportunity to recognize
such an outstanding business. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate
concurring:
That the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this
resolution, recognizes and congratulates Electric City Printing
Company of Anderson on being awarded the contracts to print
competition numbers for the 1996 Olympics and for the 1996
Atlanta Paralympic Games.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to
Michael L. Little, Chief Executive Officer of Electric City Printing
Company, Post Office Box 1920, Anderson 29622.
