TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 59-112-25 SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT ANY BUSINESS WHOSE PRINCIPAL OFFICE IS LOCATED IN SOUTH CAROLINA WHICH REQUIRES ITS EMPLOYEES TO ATTEND CONTINUING EDUCATION COURSES AT STATE INSTITUTIONS AND WHICH PAYS FOR SUCH COURSES FOR ITS EMPLOYEES IS ENTITLED TO PAY IN-STATE TUITION RATES FOR COST OF THESE COURSES WHETHER OR NOT THE EMPLOYEES ATTENDING ARE DOMICILED IN THIS STATE.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. The 1976 Code is amended by adding:
"Section 59-112-25. Any business whose principal office is located in South Carolina which requires its employees to attend continuing education courses at state institutions and which pays for these courses for its employees is entitled to pay in-state tuition rates for cost of these courses whether or not the employees attending are domiciled in this State."
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
