 ATHLETICNext ASSOCIATION'S CLASS A STATE BOYS BASEBALL CHAMPIONSHIP FOR 2002,
 THEIR THIRD STATE CHAMPIONSHIP IN A ROW.

A SENATE RESOLUTION

TO COMMEND THE "BULLDOGS" OF BOWMAN ACADEMY VARSITY BOYS BASEBALL TEAM AND COACHES FOR AN OUTSTANDING SEASON OF SPIRITED BASEBALL AND TO CONGRATULATE THEM ON WINNING THE SOUTH CAROLINA INDEPENDENT SCHOOLS PreviousATHLETICNext ASSOCIATION'S CLASS A STATE BOYS BASEBALL CHAMPIONSHIP FOR 2002, THEIR THIRD STATE CHAMPIONSHIP IN A ROW.

Whereas, the "Bulldogs" of Bowman Academy's boys baseball team have once again demonstrated the tenacity and determination traditionally associated with their bulldog mascot by winning the South Carolina Independent Schools PreviousAthleticNext Association's Class A state boys baseball championship for 2002, their third state championship in a row; and

Whereas, moments after winning the South Carolina Independent Schools PreviousAthleticNext Association's Class A championship for the third consecutive year, the Bowman Academy "Bulldogs" could be seen proudly holding up three fingers to signify their "three-peat" championship feat; and

Whereas, boasting a student body of one hundred thirty students, Bowman Academy has much to be proud of in Head Coach Tony Westbury, Assistant Coach Timmy Ulmer, and their spirited and highly competitive 2002 "Bulldog" varsity baseball team composed of Jamie Aimar, Casey Barringer, Dustin Walters, Philip Way, Jon Burleson, Derek Fogle, Brandon Cheek, Chris Bishop, Frankie Peagler, Garrett Moore, Levi Smoak, Tyler Arant, and Landrum Weathers; and

Whereas, eight of the 2002 "Bulldog" championship varsity baseball team, Jamie Aimar, Dustin Walters, Philip Way, Jon Burleson, Derek Fogle, Brandon Cheek, Frankie Peagler, and Tyler Arant, were also members of the Bowman Academy championship varsity baseball teams for 2000 and 2001; and

Whereas, the members of the Senate are pleased to learn of the tremendous "three-peat" championship success of Bowman Academy, Coach Westbury, Coach Ulmer, and this truly talented and outstanding group of young men and, in addition to hearty congratulations for a job well done, want to wish them continued success in their academic and PreviousathleticNext endeavors. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate:

That the members of the Senate, by this resolution, commend the "Bulldogs" of Bowman Academy Varsity Boys Baseball Team and coaches for an outstanding season of spirited baseball and congratulate them on winning the South Carolina Independent Schools PreviousAthletic Association's Class A state boys baseball championship for 2002, their third state championship in a row.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Coach Tony Westbury on behalf of the Bowman Academy Varsity Boys Baseball Team and coaches of Bowman Academy.
