TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 38-53-65 SO AS TO PROVIDE A PreviousBAILNext BONDSMAN OR RUNNER MAY ASSIST ANOTHER PreviousBAILNext BONDSMAN IN THE APPREHENSION, ARREST, AND SURRENDER OF THE DEFENDANT EVEN IF THE ASSISTING PreviousBAILNext BONDSMAN OR RUNNER IS NOT EMPLOYED OR APPOINTED BY THE PreviousBAILNext BONDSMAN WHO IS SURETY FOR THE DEFENDANT.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION    1.    Chapter 53, Title 38 of the 1976 Code is amended by adding:

"Section 38-53-65.    A PreviousbailNext bondsman or runner may assist another PreviousbailNext bondsman in the apprehension, arrest, and surrender of the defendant even if the assisting PreviousbailNext bondsman or runner is not employed or appointed by the Previousbail bondsman who is surety for the defendant."

SECTION    2.    This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
