RESOLUTION
EXPRESSING THE SORROW OF THE MEMBERS OF THE
GENERAL ASSEMBLY AT THE DEATH OF JAMES ROBERT
"ROB" ROGERS, SR., OF PIEDMONT, AND
EXTENDING SYMPATHY TO HIS FAMILY AND MANY
FRIENDS.
Whereas, James Robert "Rob" Rogers, Sr., of Piedmont
died recently at the age of ninety-one; and
Whereas, Mr. Rogers was born in Anderson County and for many
years ran the J. R. Rogers Store and was later affiliated with Rogers
Auto Parts in Piedmont until his retirement; and
Whereas, he was also a lifelong member of Beulah United
Methodist Church; and
Whereas, Rob Rogers was an outstanding and beloved member of
his community, and we want his family and many friends to know
that they have our deepest sympathy. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate
concurring:
That the members of the General Assembly of the State of South
Carolina, by this resolution, express sorrow at the death of James
Robert "Rob" Rogers, Sr., of Piedmont and extend
sympathy to his family and many friends.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to
Mr. Rogers' family at 6605 Highway 81, Piedmont.
