RESOLUTION
EXPRESSING THE SORROW OF THE MEMBERS OF THE
GENERAL ASSEMBLY AT THE DEATH OF THOMAS M.
CAMAK, SR., OF ANDERSON, FORMERLY OF WARE
SHOALS, AND EXTENDING SYMPATHY TO HIS FAMILY
AND FRIENDS.
Whereas, Thomas M. Camak, Sr., of Anderson, formerly of Ware
Shoals, died on February 14, 1996, at Anderson Area Medical
Center; and
Whereas, he was born in Anderson and was retired from West Point
Pepperell Corporation as personnel director; and
Whereas, Mr. Camak was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II,
earned his B.S. degree at Erskine College and his master's degree at
Clemson University, and was a former teacher in the Anderson
public schools; and
Whereas, he was a former member of the Anderson Area Society
for Human Resource Managers and the Gluck Lions Club, was a
farmer, amateur artist, and antique dealer and restorer, and was a
Presbyterian; and
Whereas, we want his family and friends to know that they are in
our thoughts and have our deepest sympathy. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate
concurring:
That the members of the General Assembly of the State of South
Carolina, by this resolution, express sorrow at the death of Thomas
M. Camak, Sr., of Anderson, formerly of Ware Shoals and extend
sympathy to his family and friends.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to
the family of Mr. Camak.
