A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

EXPRESSING SORROW AT THE DEATH OF MRS. SUE BROWN TUCKER AND EXTENDING SYMPATHY TO HER FAMILY AND MANY FRIENDS.

Whereas, Mrs. Sue Brown Tucker of Sulphur Springs Road, a caring and active member of Big Creek Baptist Church and her community, died on Saturday, February 24, 1996; and

Whereas, Mrs. Tucker was born in Ware Shoals, the daughter of John Wesley and Lillian Melinda Roberts Brown; and

Whereas, Mrs. Tucker was the widow of Harrison Tucker and the mother of Harrison Tucker, Jr., of Williamston, David D. Tucker, IV of Rural Hall, North Carolina, Mrs. Donald B. McPhail of Anderson, and Mrs. Robert F. Elrod of Talluah, Louisiana; and

Whereas, Mrs. Tucker was not only a loving and caring mother, she also had seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; and

Whereas, Mrs. Tucker was a charter member of the Anderson Woman's Club, former member of Hudson Berry Daughters of the American Revolution, VIM member of American Legion Auxiliary Unit l4, former member of the Army Advisory Board, past president of Anderson County Federated Women's Club, and a Pink Lady at Anderson Area Medical Center; and

Whereas, Mrs. Tucker contributed unselfishly to her family, church, and community and gave much love, care, concern, and joy. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the members of the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, express sorrow at the death of Mrs. Sue Brown Tucker and extend sympathy to her family and many friends.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the family of Mrs. Sue Brown Tucker.
