 CAROLINA GENERAL ASSEMBLY TO THE FAMILY AND FRIENDS OF MARGARET S. WEST OF
 SUMTER COUNTY ON THE OCCASION OF HER DEATH.

A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

EXPRESSING THE SORROW AND SYMPATHY OF THE SOUTH CAROLINA GENERAL ASSEMBLY TO THE FAMILY AND FRIENDS OF MARGARET S. WEST OF SUMTER COUNTY ON THE OCCASION OF HER DEATH.

Whereas, Margaret S. West of Sumter County died Tuesday, March 18, 1997, at her home; and

Whereas, she was born seventy years ago in Raleigh, North Carolina, the daughter of the late Sidney Allen Sauls and Margaret Tate Forester Sauls; and

Whereas, she was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and a graduate of Converse College; and

Whereas, she was the first president of the Gay Gardeners Club and a member of the Sumter Art Association and the Junior Welfare League; and

Whereas, she is survived by her husband, L. Allen West; a daughter, Margaret van Bulck of Sumter; and two grandchildren, Marc van Bulck and Sydney van Bulck; and

Whereas, Mrs. West will be missed by the family and church and friends that she loved. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina expresses its sorrow and sympathy to the family and friends of Margaret S. West on the occasion of her death.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to her husband, L. Allen West.
