 SOUTH CAROLINA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION AND EXTENDING HIM BEST WISHES FOR
 FUTURE HAPPINESS AND SUCCESS.

A HOUSE RESOLUTION

HONORING MR. WESTON LOGAN UPON HIS RETIREMENT FROM THE SOUTH CAROLINA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION AND EXTENDING HIM BEST WISHES FOR FUTURE HAPPINESS AND SUCCESS.

Whereas, Weston Logan, the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Logan, Sr., was born March 12, 1933, near Alcolu in Clarendon County; later, in December 1944 the Logan family moved to Ashwood, and Weston Logan graduated from Ashwood High School in May 1951; and

Whereas, Mr. Logan started working with the Department of Transportation (then the South Carolina Highway Department) on January 14, 1957, as Rodman; he was promoted to Inspector on July 5, 1959 and to Instrument Man I on July 1, 1962; and

Whereas, he became Project Engineer in October 1968 and was promoted later that year to Resident Construction Engineer; he became Resident Maintenance Engineer on June 25, 1972; he moved to the position of Resident Construction engineer, serving from 1976 to 1980, and then back to Resident Maintenance engineer from 1980 until his retirement; and

Whereas, Mr. Logan has been an exemplary state employee, devoting forty-two years of his life in a distinguished career of service to South Carolina and her citizens; and

Whereas, we are pleased to have the opportunity to recognize this outstanding individual on this significant occasion. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the House of Representatives of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, honors Mr. Weston Logan upon his retirement from the South Carolina Department of Transportation and extends him best wishes for future happiness and success.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mr. Logan.
