 AIKEN COUNTY FOR HIS SELFLESS DEDICATION IN ESTABLISHING HORSE CREEK/MIDLAND
 VALLEY VETERANS' PARK.

A HOUSE RESOLUTION

TO EXPRESS THE SINCERE GRATITUDE AND APPRECIATION OF THE MEMBERS OF THE SOUTH CAROLINA HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES TO JACK L. SCOTT OF AIKEN COUNTY FOR HIS SELFLESS DEDICATION IN ESTABLISHING HORSE CREEK/MIDLAND VALLEY VETERANS' PARK.

Whereas, Jack L. Scott was born in Langley, South Carolina. He spent most of his childhood at the Catholic Center located in Gloverville; and

Whereas, Jack Scott served his country honorably in the United States Army, 1953-57. Following his discharge from the Army in 1957, he joined the United States Army Reserve; and

Whereas, Jack Scott has been married to Sylvia Delaughter Scott for forty-three years and together they have four children; and

Whereas, Mr. Scott has been an ordained Baptist Minister for twenty-seven years and a former member of the Horse Creek Valley Ministerial Association for 12 years; and

Whereas, Jack Scott is the Co-Chairman of the Planning Committee for the Horse Creek/Midland Valley Veterans' Park. During the construction of the park, he has become an expert on ditch digging, landscaping, and backhoes; and

Whereas, the members of the House of Representatives are pleased to have this opportunity to recognize the contributions of such an excellent public servant and wish him the very best in all his future endeavors. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives, by this resolution, express their sincere gratitude and appreciation to Jack L. Scott of Aiken County for his selfless dedication in establishing Horse Creek/Midland Valley Veterans' Park.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Jack L. Scott.
