 GENERAL ASSEMBLY ON THE DEATH OF THE REVEREND HENRY ADDISON, SR., OF
 BISHOPVILLE.

A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

TO EXPRESS THE DEEPEST SYMPATHY OF THE MEMBERS OF THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY ON THE DEATH OF THE REVEREND HENRY ADDISON, SR., OF BISHOPVILLE.

Whereas, the Reverend Henry Addison, Sr. of Bishopville, died March 21, 1999, at the age of ninety-three; and

Whereas, born on May 29, 1905, to the late Henry and Ida Reese Addison, he was educated in the former Thomas Town School in the Browntown Community; and

Whereas, Mr. Addison was a quick study, hard worker, and honed his skills to become a successful mechanic and independent farmer, operating his own farm for more than forty-five years; and

Whereas, he was a loving, kind, and generous man, sharing the riches of his life with his large family and many, many friends; and

Whereas, he was the loving husband of the late Mabel Melton Addison, the devoted father to three sons and nine daughters, and the adoring, and especially proud, grandfather to five generations of grandchildren, including forty-five grandchildren, three of whom preceded him in death, ninety-nine great grandchildren, sixty-four great-great grandchildren, five great-great-great grandchildren, and one great-great-great-great grandchild; and

Whereas, Reverend Addison was deeply admired and loved by all who knew him, and he will be greatly missed. Now, therefore,

Whereas, Henry Addison lived a full and rewarding life of devotion and unselfish giving to his family, his church, and his community; and

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That by this resolution, the members of the South Carolina General Assembly expresses their deepest sympathy on the death of the Reverend Henry Addison, Sr., of Bishopville.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the family of Reverend Henry Addison, Sr.
